Welcome Aboard! Open SUNY Joins the NMC

Please join the NMC team in welcoming Open SUNY as the newest member to the NMC community! SUNY the State University of New York is the largest comprehensive university system in the United States and serves 64 institutions across the state of New York including research universities community colleges colleges of technology and online learning networks.

Building on more than 20 years of experience in online learning Open SUNY aims to leverage online teaching and learning environments to make it easier for students to access high-quality higher education options ensure that students have the support they need to achieve their educational goals and provide students with tools and experiences to be successful after graduation.

The Open SUNY Center for Online Teaching Excellence (COTE) is most recognized for large-scale online faculty development online instructional design innovations promoting effective online education by disseminating best practices and research and supporting and serving a network of online teaching and learning practitioners who share experiences and knowledge as members of a vibrant online community of practice.

Open SUNY's efforts to support and promote online learning initiatives have received numerous awards for their excellence including: 2015 NUTN Institutional Achievement Award and 2015 OLC Effective Practice Award among others.
